High Voltage Partial Discharge Ltd. (HVPD) supplies a comprehensive range of equipment to detect and monitor on-line Partial Discharge (PD) for the condition assessment of in-service power cables, switchgear, motors and generators, and transformers rated at 3.3 kV and above. Suitable for Medium Voltage (MV), High Voltage (HV) and Extra High Voltage (EHV) assets, their Partial Discharge testing and monitoring technology provides the user with an early warning of developing insulation faults, helping them to avoid costly failures and resulting unplanned network outages.

HVPD’s Head Office, Manufacturing and Training Facility is based in Manchester, UK and hosts a 100 kV Faraday Cage facility. As an international organisation they support their global customers with an office in North America, Middle East, China and Western Australia, as well as an extensive network of international channel partners. The HVPD Kronos® Permanent monitoring system is designed for monitoring the insulation condition of complete electrical networks to help avoid unplanned outages and improve reliability.

Available with four, six and 24- channels for connection to the PD sensors on multiple assets.

The monitors are connected to a server where the HVPD Kronos® WebView (a web-based platform) brings the asset condition data from mulitple monitors and sites together in a simple user interface. This provides an ability to navigate across all sites and focus on individual assets.

The HVPD Kronos® monitor is suitable for continuous PD monitoring in all types of in-service plant such as cables, switchgear, transformers, rotating machines and VSD machines.

The HVPD Kronos® Spot Tester is a portable diagnostic test unit designed for detecting PD in all types of in-service plants such as cables, switchgear, transformers and rotating machines.

The spot tester is a six-channel, synchronous, battery-powered test unit with a rugged and compact design optimised for field portability. Quick and easy to set up, it detects the early stages of insulation deterioration, providing an early warning against MV and HV insulation faults, and supports condition-based maintenance schemes, reducing unplanned outages, downtime and maintenance costs.

The PDS InsightTM 2 is a portable on-line PD detection unit for condition-based maintenance and substation access safety.

Lightweight and simple to use, this detection unit can be placed in the palm of your hand for safe, reliable testing of switchgear, cables and transformers.
